Daventry Area Crime -

The latest incident in a criminal trend that is targetting the local area has been reported a couple of miles over the Northamptonshire/Oxfordshire border in Farnborough.

It has been reported that over 2 days approximately 50 sheep have been stolen from fields between Farnborough and Ladbrooke.

Farmer Rosie Leach commented;

‘BE VIGILANT ! We think we’ve had approx 50 sheep stolen over 2 days at the slade, farnborough end! All our sheep were out yesterday morning and we were short of approx 25, checked around all surrounding crops all afternoon but couldnt find any. Someone saw a truck and livestock box with a pen set up in the bottom end yesterday evening at approx 5:30. We’ve moved them all away today and all up we are short of approx 50 sheep’

It is not thought at this time that the Sheep were illegally slaughtered or butchered ‘on site’ on this occasion.

Please be extra vigilant and report and suspicous behavior or vehicles to the Police on 101 or if a crime is in progress dial 999.
