Finding the right wines this winter doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Whether you are looking for a warm red for a quiet drink in, a gift for the wine lover in your life or the ultimate Christmas Day Champagne, look no further. On this Thursday’s Early Evening Show, we invited Debbie Gallacher from Gallachers Wine Merchants in Rugby to give us her top 5 wines, just for you.

Reds
Odega Norton Altura Malbec at £22 is perfect; full bodied with plenty of fruitiness and not too dry.
Cotes Du Rhone Domaine De Beaurenard. Perfect on its own or with roasts, or even with your turkey at Christmas. £19.95
White
Chardonnay from Jean-Marc Brocard Estate in Burgundy, France, that is not oaked. Great on its own or with grilled fish or chicken £25.25
Sauvignon blanc. From Marlborough New Zealand, from the Te Pa Estate we have the Pa Road Sav Blanc, typical Marlborough style; crisp, gooseberry, citrus and at £13.25 its perfect for any occasion.
Fizz
What about a dry spumante from Italy, fresh, zesty dry fizz at £14,
Champagne -For something really why not try a champagne from the Drappier vineyard, a small family run estate making beautiful refined champagnes.
