Police officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in High Street, Daventry.
The incident happened outside Heron Foods on Tuesday, August 6, between 12.30pm and 1pm, when a woman was attacked by a man who punched her to the ground and then stamped on her.
The offender is described as a black male in his mid-30s, about 6ft 5in, wearing a blue tracksuit.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
