Witnesses are being sought after a man was assaulted in Thames Road, Daventry, following a road rage incident.
The incident took place between 5pm and 5.15pm on Thursday, June 4, after the 44-year-old driver of a grey Audi A3 was stopped by a driver of a black Corsa as he turned off Yeomanry Way and on to Thames Road.
The offender approached the man, who was still sitting in his car, and assaulted him. As a result of the assault, the man sustained a fractured eye socket and lacerations, which required hospital treatment.
The offender is described as a white man, of stocky build, with dark hair and a short dark groomed beard. He was wearing all black clothing.
