Hello everyone, WOW what a beautiful day again today.
Today’s exploring mission was to walk from Daventry to Braunston and what an amazing walk it was.
I did not know that walking to Braunston was so easy as I always us my car but since lockdown I have learned what my legs are ment to be used for again and how much beautiful nature we have on our doorsteps.
I hope you enjoy looking at the photos and please share with us your experiences here; have you done this walk too? What were your experiences?
Do you know any history about this area you can share with us? We always enjoy sharing our experiences with you and love hearing back from you too, have a great day x
Editor’s Note:
If our canals and rivers are local to you, and you use the towpath for your daily exercise or journey to undertake essential work, please now avoid any stretches with boats moored against the towpath, and strictly observe social distancing at all times, following the latest advice from Government.
Before you go by boat, bike or boot, remember to check your route.”
Canal and Riverboat Trust
As you can see from the pictures, the towpath was only used for a small section of the walk and our reporter stayed 2 metres away from any boats and persons thus within the current guidance for towpath usage.
The government have been very vocal in allowing members of the public to continue using public areas of green for their exercise when used responsibly.
