Eight caravans seized by police from an unauthorised encampment in Great Oxendon have now been returned to their rightful owners across the UK.
Officers from Northamptonshire Police attended the site on July 9, after receiving a report of a gateway being damaged and a number of vehicles and caravans being parked on private land just off the A508 Harborough Road.
The caravans were identified as stolen and seized by officers, who have now traced their owners and enabled their return to locations including Borehamwood in Hertfordshire, Ely in Cambridgeshire, Swindon in Wiltshire, and Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
