Northamptonshire Carers, a charity that supports the 70,000 plus carers in Northamptonshire, has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Daventry.
The charity supports carers from across the county by providing services such as group support sessions, respite care, 1-2-1 advice, free access to gyms and peer support.
To mark the donation, several members of the Amazon Daventry team made a visit to Northamptonshire Carers to meet the volunteers and learn more about what they do.
Amazon Daventry Site Leader, Gareth Davies, said: “On behalf of the Amazon team in Daventry I would like to say a big thank you to Northamptonshire Carers for inviting the team to meet some of the staff and volunteers. We’re pleased to provide this donation to support such an important organisation.”
Sarah Drage from Northamptonshire Carers added:
“It’s great to get this support from the Amazon team in Daventry. The generosity of businesses like Amazon enables us to continue to develop the support services we provide to the carers of Northamptonshire. I would like to thank the Amazon team for their support.”
The donation forms part of the “Amazon In The Community” programme whereby the company supports the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
