- Daventry Area Crime - Charity Tin Stolen and Window Smashed, Sheaf Street
A charity tin has been stolen from a Sheaf St boutique last night after a window was smashed to gain entry.
Approximately £50 was thought to be in the tin destined for the Marie Curie Cancer Charity. An anonymous customer has since donated £50 to replace this.
It is thought that the damage caused will cost around £240 for the shopkeeper.
Sgt Sam Dobbs took time Twitter to denounce the act and warned other business owners not to keep Charity Collection Tins in view overnight.
