- Daventry News - Concerns Over A361 Closure Voiced by Middlemore Residents
A planned road closure on one of Daventrys main roads is expected to bring traffic nightmares to the North of the town.According to work plans, the A361 from the Mecure Hotel Island all the way to the Welton Road junction will be closed or subject to road works from the 3rd February to the 16th March.
In addition to the affect on general traffic using the busy Northbound route, residents have been voicing their concerns on how the works will affect them.Karen Tweedale of Middlemore messaged: “residents are outraged – we met with DDC councillor David James last night. NCC are expecting residents to use single track highway (for buses only) to access and exit the estate. Problems /dangers are exacerbated by the fact that there are two constructions sites directly by the busway too”
