Councillers last night gave the go ahead for a 3-4 screen cinema to be built in Daventry Town Centre.
Building works should begin in the spring and are said to include
restaurants and a public square complete with splash fountains.
Named Mulberry Place, the development is on land north of the High Street.
Contractors Willmott Dixon should be
able to begin works this spring once Daventry library is relocated to
new premises at the Abbey Building in St Johns Square.
It is not yet know which Cinema Operator will be selected but Autumn 2020 is when the cinema is estimated to be open.
