Daventry police officers who were using the facilities at Watford Gap services found themselves in a convenient position to help out Scottish police officers who had put out an alert for a woman they were trying to locate.
The woman was believed to be travelling south on a bus from Scotland and, finding that the bus would be arriving within minutes of their ‘comfort break’, Northants officers from Daventry Response Team 2 located the woman on board and detained her. A police spokesperson tweeted, “Female located & is now safe & well with officers”.
