Daventry District Council have made the decision to close the market early today due to high winds.
Commenting on Facebook the statement says;
‘We have had to close Daventry Market this afternoon. The winds have reached the cut off speed for insurances and we have decided that having the stalls remain up could potentially cause injury to public or damage to property.
Once all the traders are clear we can open the gates to the high street to allow traffic to flow as normal.
Hopefully the market should be on next week, but please keep checking for updates.’
Sorry for any inconvenience caused’.
