- Daventry News - How did you celebrate?
With the world a very odd place right now, it warmed us to hear about the wonderful ways Daventry celebrated VE this weekend.
From socially distanced street parties, to lots of bunting adorning the fronts of houses and businesses; there was a profound sense of pride and community, and humility as we remembered not only the victory, but also the sacrifices and limits that people can actually withstand!
We’re tougher than we think.
Daventry Town Council were also incredibly happy to see and hear the same and so have set up an FB page where you can post your pictures of how you celebrated, marked or commemorated, the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe.
