Daventry District Council have complemented ‘Hard-working staff at Daventry Norse’ whom are ‘doing their upmost to maintain vital waste and recycling collection services for everyone during this time’

The comments come as the reported instances of fly-tipping have increased across the district, no doubt fuelled by the closure of the districts tips due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The pictured example from Deborah Jones shows a scene encountered at Newnham/Preston Capes road last week.

DDC further commented ‘We know things are difficult at the moment, but there is no excuse for fly-tipping, ever. We will issue £400 on-the-spot fines to anyone caught fly-tipping in Daventry District, while the worst offenders can expect to be prosecuted’

If you witness fly-tipping in Daventry District, please report it to us at www.daventrydc.gov.uk/online
