As the isolation and social distancing to help the NHS and avoid spreading Covid 19 is necessary for everyone’s wellbeing, it is good to know that there are groups operating that can help with emotional support and the more practical help that some of us need during this difficult time.
Daventry Radio is run by volunteers and friends, and we are available to listen and chat if you need someone to talk to.
Simply give us a call or message us via Facebook and we will do our best to get back to you for a chin-wag.
Though we are not an advisory service, we always urge listeners to go straight to the Government information outlets for accurate and factual information.
We would also like to add more to this story as the weeks unfold and other good people come forward with help and assistance to get us through.
Share your experiences with us so that others can learn and perhaps gain some strength from knowing that they are not alone.
If you need a lift, don’t forget to subscribe to the Good News Letter!
Daventry Self Isolation Support Group is a Face Book group doing what it can to help and Tania got in touch, “It started a couple of weeks ago with a handful of members and now has over 2000. We are linked with local shops, pharmacies and the council to give a helping hand. If people need support, shopping doing, dogs walking, a chat etc, or can offer support – this is the place to be.”
Be safe, stay home!
