Lady luck smiled on happy Rugby couple Adrian and Deborah Gelston when their postcode CV21 1XE was drawn as a winner of the postcode lottery’s Street Prize. They both bought a ticket, each winning £50k which means the couple of 30 years netted a whopping £100,000 between them.
Because of lockdown it was more a case of who’s that ringing the bell, rather than knocking on the door, as People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Matt Johnson gave them the good news via video call.
With Adrian turning 50 this year the couple have been coming up with ideas on how to treat themselves. From champagne breakfasts to trips to the Maldives and Vegas.
People’s Postcode Lottery costs just £10 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Matt Johnson, said: “I’m over the moon for Adrian and Deborah. It sounds like Adrian will be having a fabulous 50th birthday thanks to the win.”
With 32% of the ticket price going direct to charitable projects protecting people and the planet, Postcode Lottery players have now raised more than £500 Million for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. They have provided project-based funding in Great Britain to more than 7,500 deserving causes that promote human rights, combat discrimination, and prevent poverty.
Congratulations Adrian and Deborah from everyone at Rugby and Daventry Radio – We’re not jealous…honest!
What would you do with £100k?
