Jason Johnson shows
I have always loved music and brought my first record back in 1974 (Far Far Away by Slade). Over 45 years later, and I can still be found hunting through record shops and car boot sales to add to my vast record collection.
I grew up listening to Radio 1 and local commercial radio in the Midlands.
My first job, after leaving college in 1988, was working at Signal Radio in Stoke on Trent. Since then I have worked at various radio stations in Coventry, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, Wrexham and Birmingham.
As well as presenting shows, I have been the voice of traffic and travel on many stations across the country and have even reported the information live from a plane flying over the towns and cities.
Until recently, I read the travel news on the breakfast show on Rugby FM.
As well as broadcasting, I host a weekly pub quiz and do the occasional discos for parties.
I love music from all decades, but I have a particular passion for the 1980s.
My weekly show, Back To The 80’s, plays some of the songs of your schooldays and relives the great music and memories of this fantastic decade. Each week you will hear songs that you know well and some that you may not have heard for over 30 years.
