Starting as a researcher and Broadcast Assistant in Education at BBC radio (The Learning Curve) covering all aspects of production & administration. As researcher at The Arts unit, worked on flag ship programmes both live and pre-recorded: Front Row, Back Row, Nightwaves.
Was project co-ordinator for National Poetry Day, liaised with internal and external bodies to highlight the day across the BBC and beyond as well as provided all production support for the output. Worked on Outside Broadcast productions including the Queen Mother’s Funeral and Jazz on 3.
Researcher and producer World Service Music. Top of the Pops Radio Show. Set up and recorded weekly on-air interviews of artists. Produced The UK Top 40 every week and other scripted pre-recorded music programmes for BBC Radio International: these were edited and made in kit form and sold to commercial stations around the World.
In 2004 was part of a small live broadcast and events team at The Glastonbury Festival for BBC World Service. this involved working closely with talent and liaising with music rights.
Freelance producer / reporter .BBC Radio Northampton carrying out pre- production planning and content for the Bernie Keith Show , then researcher on daily consumer show and on-air reporter.
