Mental Health is still seen as a taboo topic of conversation even in a world where it’s actually more peculiar if you don’t have a form of mental health issue than if you do. The fear of being judged and perhaps not wanting to step on your pride somewhat means that more and more people are suffering alone in silence. Daventry is one of the most inactive communities in the country, so I have decided to combine the need to exercise our brains and legs and bring a Mental Health Mates walking group to Daventry.

Working with the Mental Health Mates charity, started by Sunday Times bestselling author Bryony Gordon, I’m holding a short, informal walk where talking about how you’re really feeling, getting some light exercise with a group people who might be feeling the same way is encouraged and is completely free from charge and judgement. All ages, children and animals welcome! Because everyone deserves to find their we!
So, come and join me on Sunday the 3rd of March at Daventry Country Park Cafe, Northern Way, Daventry NN11 2JB at 11am. Everyone is welcome!
This is the first of many monthly walks to come in the future, and any support would be appreciated. If you want to find out more information, please don’t hesitate to email me at harrietmentalhealthmates@gmail.com
