A new Defibrillator (aka Automated Electronic Defibrillator) has been installed in Woodford Halse at the Fire Station.
The AED was purchsed with £700 raised by the Methodist Church and a £500 donation from House Builder Taylor Wimpey.
Modern AED’s are very easy to use with little or no training as the machines have visual and audible instructions in addition to being able to monitor heart rhythm to prevent unnecessary application of a charge.
To gain access to the AED, the access code is made available to trusted persons and via a telephone number in the event of emergencies.
