Daventry District Council are appealing for help after a Sheep’s Carcuss was found in a ditch off Newnham Hill on Monday.
It is believed that the animal had been stolen and illegally butchered as all that remained was the sheep’s entrails, head and fleece.
Anyone with further information or indeed have experienced similar incidents are encouraged to report the matter to DDC and the Police.
