- Daventry Area Crime - Suspected Imitation Firearm Incident, Daventry
We’ve had a couple of messages and tags this morning in regards to a Suspected Imitation Firearms Incident earlier this morning and that parts of Daventry were ‘locked down’ this morning as a precaution.
The incident is believed to have happened at Chasers with further activity at Vulcan Close, although it is not yet known if the two incidents are related.
Witnesses described someone ‘waving a gun around’ while others believed that the gun may have been ‘just a BB gun’.
We’ve contacted Northants Police whom were only able to confirm that an investigation is ongoing and due to the sensitive nature surrounding the incident will only comment further once a full press statement is ready.
Updates to follow.
